Rollator Walkers

When you need a device to help your balance, or a device that you can sit on as-needed because your energy or endurance are limited, a rollator walker is an invaluable tool.

$150*    1 Visit    

* Tax included. This is the That Wheelchair Guy clinical service fee, and does not include the cost of the device which is paid directly to the vendor. For approved ADP applications, the client pays the vendor 25% of the approved ADP cost. Clients outside of Toronto East/Scarborough will be charged a travel fee.

Free Discovery Call

Henry will speak to you for 5-10 minutes to learn about your mobility challenges and let you know if you would qualify for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP). 

You can choose whether to book an assessment right away, or think about it and book later.

Preparing for your appointment

Henry will give you a list of ADP-approved vendors whom he has worked with successfully. You will need to choose one vendor before your visit. For advice regarding how to choose a vendor, please visit Choosing a Vendor.

Assessment    $150

Henry will meet with you where you live for 30-45 minutes. The visit will include:​

  • Consent:  review service risks/benefits/alternatives, sign consent form and cost agreement, choice of vendor.

  • Interview:  Henry will ask about your medical condition(s) and your day-to-day life.

  • Assessment:  Henry will assess your strength and range of motion, and ability to walk. If you have troubles with memory, Henry will do a brief screening test.

  • You and Henry will sign the ADP application.

Free Device Trial

Your chosen vendor will bring your rollator. Henry will speak with you by phone or video call to ensure your device meets your needs.

Free Follow-Up Call

Henry will call you 6 months after Visit 2 to ensure your prescribed and authorized rollator is meeting your needs. Here is what he will ask about:​​​​​

 

  • Are you able to use the rollator in your daily life?

  • When you are using your rollator, can you maintain good posture and balance?​

​

Your chosen vendor will help you with any repairs or minor adjustments needed.
