Power Mobility
Many people are interested in scooters and power wheelchairs to use when they go outside (e.g. to get groceries, see friends, attend appointments). At That Wheelchair Guy, we know how important these activities are in a person's life. Unfortunately, ADP does not cover power mobility devices used only outside the home. Henry can not support an ADP application for a power mobility device used only outside the home. If you have private insurance that is willing to cover the device if you do not qualify for ADP, Henry can write a letter of support.

Power mobility is only covered through ADP if all of the following apply:
-
The person needs the device to move around their home on a regular basis
-
The person can independently get in and out of their home with the device
-
The person is not able to use a manual wheelchair instead

$400* 3 Visits
* Tax included. This is the That Wheelchair Guy clinical service fee, and does not include the cost of the device which is paid directly to the vendor. For approved ADP applications, the client pays the vendor 25% of the approved ADP cost. Clients outside of Toronto East/Scarborough will be charged a travel fee.

If Training Visits are required to complete the prescription and ADP application, each visit will be $100 each, tax included.
